WHO SHOULD APPLY?

You don’t need a résumé in government.

This program is for people who live in Banning, notice what’s happening around them, and want a clearer way to participate. Civic experience isn’t required.

  • You can join eight sessions over about seven months, including one month that may have two sessions.
  • You’re willing to listen to neighbors with different experiences and viewpoints.
  • You want to understand how local institutions work, not just hear about them.

01

How the cohort is selected

Pass Community Foundation reviews applications for a 15–20 person cohort that reflects Banning’s neighborhoods, experiences, interests, and languages. The funded program centers Latino residents while remaining open to everyone. Prior civic experience isn’t a selection factor.

02

How your information is handled

Only the PCF program team reviews individual applications. Contact information is used for program communication. Optional demographic answers may be summarized for grant reporting, but names and individual responses aren’t published or sold. Records are kept only as long as needed to administer and report on the program.

03

What happens after you apply

You’ll see an on-screen receipt. PCF then reviews your application and contacts you by email or phone. Selected participants receive the full calendar and a separate Stagecoach RSVP. Submitting an application doesn’t automatically reserve a Stagecoach spot.
