We’ll go behind the scenes at City Hall, local institutions, and community gathering places, meet the people who keep things moving, and ask questions you don’t usually get to ask. By the end, we’ll turn what we uncover into recommendations for Banning.

Behind the Scenes at Stagecoach Days

Bring your cowboy hat. We’re kicking things off at one of Banning’s longest-running traditions, with a look at how Stagecoach Days comes together and a night at the rodeo.

Behind the scenes at Stagecoach Days
Stagecoach Days is our kickoff. If you can’t make it, join us at the Morongo Thunder & Lightning Powwow for the make-up outing. We’ll choose one day and meet-up time during September 25–27. Family and friends can come too.
Out at Gilman Ranch
Walk through the ranch, hear a few good stories, and get a first look at plans for Stagecoach Stop Park. We’ll also talk about how residents can weigh in on the county’s parks plan.
Movie night at the Fox
Settle in for a private documentary screening at the Fox Theatre, then stick around to talk with the filmmaker. Confirmed participants may bring registered household guests. Time pending.
See a public meeting up close
Choose a public meeting that fits your schedule, go in person or watch online, and see who speaks, who votes, and what happens next. We’ll compare notes as a group.
Behind the music at Banning High
Go backstage before the BHS Winter Concert to meet students and music educators, then enjoy the show together. We’ll update the date when the school releases its 2026 concert calendar.
What keeps Banning moving?
Find out what it takes to keep a city moving, from water and streets to transportation, health, and community services. We’re still lining up the hosts.
The Banning stories we carry
Dig into local stories that don’t always make the history books, then gather over coffee to turn the cohort’s notebook themes into recommendations.
Civic Leadership Summit
This is where it all comes together. The cohort will share what we learned and the changes we want local agencies, nonprofits, and community partners to consider.
